Miss Alyse and Miss Mireya are more than just dance teachers—they’re dream-builders with a deep love for the art of movement. With award-winning routines and a shared commitment to building a true dance family, they’ve teamed up to bring Ocala a studio full of rhythm, heart, and lasting inspiration.

Miss Mireya Segovia is the proud co-owner of PS Dance with 18 years of dance experience and 10 years of assisting/teaching classes. Born and raised in Ocala, FL, she began dancing at the age of 4 and quickly immersed herself in a wide range of styles including Clogging, Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Lyrical, Contemporary, Acrobatics, and Hip-Hop.

She began competing at a young age, gaining recognition at both regional and national levels. Throughout her training, she worked with esteemed choreographers, participated in conventions across the country, and developed a choreographic voice that is both dynamic and inspiring.

Miss Mireya pursued her passion for dance as a Dance Major at Santa Fe Community College,where she refined her technique and deepened her knowledge of performance and choreography.

Over the past several years, she has shared her knowledge with students of all ages and levels, always emphasizing technique, creativity, and confidence. . Miss Mireya remains committed to continued growth in her dance career and actively seeks opportunities to train, learn, and evolve as both an artist and teacher.

She is passionate about cultivating a space where young dancers can truly thrive—mentally, physically, and artistically. Her mission is to provide Ocala with a welcoming and inspiring studio—a place young dancers can call their second home.

As Co-Owner of PS Dance, Miss Alyse Putnam brings over 20 years of dance training and 15 years of teaching experience to the studio. As an accomplished choreographer her passion for dance education is matched by her dedication to building a supportive and inspiring environment for young dancers.

Trained under the prestigious Gloria Jean Cuming and Stacy Eastman, Miss Alyse developed a deep technical foundation and a choreographic style that consistently earned high adjudications at competitions across the Northeast. Her work has been recognized with choreography awards at Dance Masters of America and Dance Showcase in Bristol, CT. Many of her solo and group routines have advanced to nationals at American Dance Awards, showcasing her talent for crafting memorable and high-impact performances.

Originally from New Haven, Connecticut, Miss Alyse proudly calls Gloria Jean’s Studio of Dance her home. Now, as Co-Owner of PS Dance in Ocala, she brings that same standard of excellence and community spirit to Florida.

Miss Alyse is committed to creating a dance family—an atmosphere that prioritizes growth, encouragement, and connection as much as technique and performance. For her, dance is more than movement—it’s about belonging.

Miss Katie

Ms. Katie has been dancing for 20 years, including 8 years of competitive experience that helped her build a strong foundation in technique. She earned a scholarship to the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City and graduated from the University of Florida in 2022 with a degree in Nutritional Sciences and a minor in Dance. While at UF, she explored various styles including jazz, modern, contemporary, African dance, and dance in medicine.

During college, she served as Treasurer and dance instructor for the Danza Dance Company, where she balanced her love for movement with her interest in leadership and finance. She also worked in the nutrition department for the UF Football Team.

Ms. Katie brings great energy to PS Dance—she’s enthusiastic, talented, fun to be around, and has a spontaneous, creative spirit that shines in the classroom. In her free time, she enjoys reading, learning new things, spending time by the water, and hanging out with friends.
